Easily the best BBQ we’ve had in Australia.  Very authentic southern US style. The meat is tender and juicy, just the way it should be. We love the pulled pork and we come back often.
Caught the Rise of Skywalker on opening night at Newmarket with Iron Fist. He recommended that we grab dinner at Proof BBQ and Booze afterwards, a short 10 minute drive from the cinema. With a fairly late closing hour, there were still a few tables there when we arrived at 9pm. Service was friendly and fast though.
This is a great spot for those loving BarBQued and Smoked meats! There is a wide range of choices – many of which are Gluten Free. For us the stand-out meals included the Burnt Ends (Yummy, Yummy, Yummy) , the Ribs, The Buffalo wings with Blue Cheese Dip, the Pork Belly and the amazing home made Golden Gaytime Cheese Cake. They have a small but well chosen selection of Craft Beers and the cocktail we tried ( The Zombie) was enjoyed by these rum drinkers!The restaurant itself is nicely casual and welcoming with a variety of seating options.  Our waitress was absolutely wonderful – nothing was too much trouble and she made sure that my Gluten Free requirements were met to perfection. On top of that she was cheerful, pleasant and efficient!All in all – a great night out. P.S. This restaurant is easy to get to and has lots of free parking at the door.
