Hay – an item that horses eat fellow foodies… We stopped off here by chance for a coffee and some hot wedges after a day at Lake Somerset…the coffee was good and strong… Definitely 2scoops in the mug size and the wedges were probably the best I have had … They came with sweet chilli and sour cream, we got 2 bowls for the 4 of us and could barely finish them…. I liked the surrounds too, quirky and earthy… Next trip we will try to work in another stop off for sure!!!!

Charming!. Went to the Elm Haus to get away from the G20… and what a wonderful place it is… friendly staff, delicious food, great prices and quirky music and environment… Loved it!

Loved. Gorgeous place. Reminded me of the hill stations in India. We had coffee, cake and milkshakes. Staff really friendly and was just a delightful place to stop.

Afternoon Deliciousness. A group of us mums asked if we could have a ‘high tea’ at Elm Haus and were treated to a really good afternoon of delicious food and very good service. Sandwiches, scones and most interestingly a selection of raw cakes! These were the drawcard for us as they are healthy, suitable for most who had dietary issues (ie gf/df) and really delicious. The coffee was really good and staff most helpful and attentive. Some the meals being served at nearby tables looked really good too – we will definitely be going back with the family.

7/10. I love this place, very cosy and such a homey feel. This place used to be a favourite of mine to eat, but it seems the food has gone downhill as of late which is such a shame. My friend and I used to be obsessed with the wedges which used to come out seasoned in some magical way with spring onions tossed through them but now they just taste like average, salted wedges which I don’t really enjoy. They used to do delicious chicken pies which I didn’t see on the menu last time I went. I got a hot dog which still good but I miss the old food we used to get 🙁

Cute place lovely service. My friend and I arrived just as they were putting up the closed sign but we were waved in with a smile. We said to save time we would just get coffee to go so they could close but they guy was really welcoming telling us it wasn’t a bother. We got three of the raw cakes to try, once again said that we could take them to go in order to help them out but again we were told it was no problem. We sat at one of the outdoor tables and he brought out our 3 cakes plus an extra free of charge for us to try! He told us to take our time and assured us again that it was no problem. It’s quaint and quirky with a lovely atmosphere, heaps of treasures to discover (my fave is the suit of armour). It’s very relaxed and relaxing in that beautiful spot.
