The Water Front Restaurant has reasonably good food which is a bit expensive, but when coupled with the aquarium for a package deal is not bad value. The service is good, but it is the stellar view out to the islands that makes this place. The Water Front Restaurant has apparently won the best wedding reception restaurant venue in Australia (ABIA Awards) in 2013 and top 3 in 2015. I think these awards are a bit of an exaggeration – but overall the place was good and I would recommend it.

Food- Barramundi and chips were flawless, Chicken Caesar salad was fresh and large yet the dressing really lacked flavour. Staff/Service- Mixed. Initially they were rude, but ended up bending over backwards for us at the end. The lady spoke to by partner rudely about our pram ‘being in the way’. I tried to order a stir fry but the chefs refused to take out two ingredients I didn’t want. After a long wait for the food, someone who I believed was the manager offered myself, my fiancé and my son drinks on the house which was lovely and definitely turned around my feel for the place. Atmosphere- The view is breathtaking. It is literally on the water, and the place really felt warm and inviting. Price- All meals were fairly priced. The chicken Caesar was $18 and the barramundi and chips were $21.50. Value for money- We feel that there was definitely value for money as the portion sizes were generous and the meals were well prepared.

Breakfast is Well Done. Delicious food, well made merlo coffee, wide deck and beautiful scenery. We enjoyed breakfast at the Waterfront Restaurant this morning, and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to friends.

Best Barramundi I have ever had. Friendly staff. Good experience.
