Dropped in here on a busy Saturday and had a steak pie and vanilla slice for lunch. The pie was great. Really nice pastry and the filling was generous and tasty. The vanilla slice was nice, nothing to write home about but good all the same. I returned to buy some bread (standard wholemeal loaf) and some hot cross buns. When I got the buns home, I noticed they were practically stale. They were SO hard, they were like rocks. Honestly, I have never had worse hot cross buns ever – not even the cheap ones from the supermarket were this bad. Even my two year old refused to eat them. They went in the bin – SUCH a waste of money (and they weren’t cheap either) and the reason I’ve lowered my rating on this place. Terrible!!
