Wasbrowsing around theHotel Diane of Woolloongabba in one of the early morning of this week. Suddenly felt the need of coffee hit and my gaze was caught by its signboard so gave it a go. Well, high ceiling with rustic lay-out is not a bad idea for this area. I was the only table sat in the caf, however, it still took a while to have my coffee ready due to a guy continuously asking questions from the barista. As noticed from the outdoor sign board, they serve the Tim Adams which quite matches my palate but not the strength. The only thing that I missed was to taste what they served on the menu because I really did not feel hungry at all. May go back to explore again if there is time…..
OK coffee (2.5), but the homemade baked goods (3.5) raise the rating for Desmond and Molly Jones. The muffins and cupcakes are baked on site and make this a worthwhile experience. My wife would prefer to walk around the corner to Cafe Bien for coffee.
I can not get enough of the salted caramel date loaf and the chocolate brownies! When they do spanakopita I always rush straight down there so I don’t miss out. Also good to have found a place where I get the best coffee every single time I go there. Good feel to the cafe. A lot of people don’t realise there is a massive room at the back for extra seating which can be good if you want to get away from it all or have a big group of people.
