I remember visiting this cafe a few years back when they literally didn’t have a name at all. I think they eventually got around to the now quirky Don’t Know name because they didn’t have one or couldn’t come up with one-oh well the coffee is passable. It is Merlo which usually has the flavor going for it. My flat white double shot was served in a takeaway cup without fancy coffee art ( I always prefer a proper cup that’s my only grumble)
By far the best coffee at the Mater! They do happy hour specials and a ham and cheese toastie and small coffee for $6. Great value, great coffee and great service. Couldn’t ask for more.
Delicious coffee (Merlo) & very friendly staff. They offer a range of hot/cold food including banana bread, raisin toast, muffins and sandwiches/wraps. They also have a very affordable Coffee + Ham & Cheese toastie deal all day long. Would highly recommend!
Great coffee at reasonable prices.I’ve been to Don’t Know Cafe dozens of times over the past two years. They serve great coffee (Merlo) and offer great deals, including $6 for a small coffee and a ham & cheese toastie (this used to be $5, but their prices went up earlier this year). The ham & cheese toastie is pretty average, but the price is right if cash is tight and you need both caffeine and food and don’t want to make the choice between the two. They also offer a Happy Hour special – sometimes before 7:30 AM and sometimes after 3 PM – where all coffees (of any size) are $3.The only downside to Don’t Know is that they don’t have ice. I was reminded of this today, when it was 32 degrees outside and I tried to order an Iced Latte.
