Tried to attempt a caf inside PA Hospital but did not open despite the trading hour indicating opening time is 7:00am this morning. Very disappointed so picked up my car and back to Sunnybank area. While I was driving along the road, suddenly the picture of this caf came to my mind so gave it a go. In fact, I have not been back for over two years so should be the time for the second review. Walked in the caf and perusal the menu. Finally decided to go for a mini brekkie and coffee. Coffee came first which looked nice and the first sip left a very good impression on the Duckinwilla brew that they served. Very good depth of strength and barista pouring technique was good as the coffee was smooth. Next came the mini brekkie, which was not mini at all. A large piece of bread with butter accompanied two rashes of bacon, scrambled eggs and grilled tomato. I have to put extra effort to finish it and the taste was spot-on. I think this caf did keep its production consistent. Thumb-up.Mar 31, 2016It was early in the morning of Good Friday and it is always my headache in looking for a place to have a cup of coffee at such time of public holiday. Coincidentally drove around area of Woolloongabba and discovered this only caf opening around the area. Rushed to order my flat white and took a seat inside the dining area. While I was waiting for the coffee, I started to look around the caf. Well, they have a very nice set up and are plenty spaces between tables and also have more seating at al fresco dining area. It did not take long to have my coffee and it gave me a nice feeling despite of the strength was too weak for me. Reasons of appreciation are: first, smoothness of the coffee deserves thumb-up; second, trading on Good Friday, thumb-up; and third, they do serve some bargains on lunch special which is only $10. Definitely, I will return to try the lunch set.
I got the acai bowl from here and it was way too sweet and not good at all. The fruit was not fresh, acai was not cold, and it was $12… waste of money. I would not recommend any fruit bowls from here
Gabi beef was super tasty and tender with perfectly cooked rice. Excellent value. Great range of lunch options that thankfully differ from the usual Cafe fare. Will definitely be coming back
