We took advantage of the Groupon deal for this charming restaurant. The service was particularly good very welcoming & friendly. Enjoyed the tuna tataki to start, delicate flavors & melted on the tongue. My main was the prawn tempura with kushi sauce. Crisp tempura batter encased six succulent king prawns, very tasty & super fresh. We were rather surprised at the lack of patronage on a Sat evening so lets hope they manage to make a go of this new venture so clise to our doorstep
Bookmarked this restaurant after I read the review from Espresso&Matcha. Incidentally, there was a promo on Groupon so got the deal and arranged an exploration last night. First step in was greeted by the very friendly service team. We were led to our reserved table and the manager (Mr Park) came and explained to us about the deal in a very hospitable manner. We chose the Beef Tataki to share and added additional Gyoza to pay out of the deal. Mains were Beef Teriyaki and Pork Ribs Teriyaki. Beef Tataki came first with nice presentation and the freshness of the beef drew the attention of my gaze (4.5/5). Next came the Gyoza, which was unexpectedly good with crispy pastry and juiced content; honestly, it is very rarely to have such nice Gyoza in town (5/5). The first main of Teriyaki beef was not bad (4/5) but not as perfect as the pork ribs, which was full of BBQ flavour and the meat was not over-tenderised. Again, it is really hard to find such nice pork ribs in town (5/5). Overall, food & beverage deserve slightly higher than 4.5/5 but it should be full mark if taken consideration of the friendly hospitable service.
I popped in here recently as i was really craving Japanese food! It is a really cool venue, with beautiful Japanese murals on the wall. It is nicely lit, has big open windows which are street facing, and a nice modern Bar.We felt very welcomed as soon as we came in to the Japanese greeting.Lots of options on the menu, so we had a little bit of a lot of things.Started with some Gyoza, Karaage Chicken, a meat platter, a vege platter and washed it down with a nice red wine (as i often like to do) ;)I could not find fault in any of the food or the overall experience, and i wish this relatively new restaurant good luck and hope that more people can find out about it and give it a try. Its a place where you could bring 5 or 6 friends and have a really cosy, fun night!
