Went here for dinner Tuesday night, we had the three share plates, fish tacos and wedges. Lamb and calamari was really nice, as well as wedges being really well seasoned and cooked. Fish tacos werent the best, chips were stone cold as soon as they came out plus spring rolls were second-rate. The seating area looking out is quite nice and the music playing was perfect. Overall an alright dinner.
Had dinner with the family on a Wednesday night. Good selection of steaks and the chef was readily available to explain each cut in the cabinet near where you order. Kids coloring book and playground to keep the kids amused. Overall a good menu selection however the service really let this place down on the night we were there as the staff took a set and forget approach to their service.
So lets try the $10 lunch special they say. It soeasily could have been better, the chips were above average and so was the salad, However crumbed fish was well over cooked treacle brown in colour for 3 guests, so much so that the fish had shrunk within the thick crumb, another person dining with the group, waited an extra 8 min for a Parma which had undergone the deep fried treatment.Two other member of the group had the steak , which looked great , certainly the correct choice for a return visit next time. Althoughoneordered MED and the other MED RARE, there was no indication which was which.
Not really impressed. Fillet steaks were overcooked. Sauces not great. Nice chips.
Worst T-bone steak ever!!! Got there 700 gram steak. And spent half the time trying to cut into it. Didn’t even eat half! Think I’m goin to maccas now to fill up
Good value on a Tuesday. Caught up with some colleagues for a drink on Tuesday and ended up staying to get a cheap and cheerful meal at only $6 each!!! The 2 for 1 deal is hard to pass up.
Can you beat $6 for a main?. Cheap Tuesdays run rife in Brisbane, and Pineapple Hotel’s 2 for 1 Tuesday deal at the Quarter Bar is the cheapest I’ve come across. The menu is basic pub fare. And the pub itself is comfortable to sit in, particularly great if there are sports you like to watch. Unfortunately, the service leaves a lot to be desired and the actual meals you would feel slightly disappointed for paying the full price of $12.00. But at $6.00 a meal, means I’ll be back for another Tuesday night.
