The food was quite bland and the service was underwhelming. The manager was also quite rude and unpleasant. Its a shame as I was looking forward to a nice Filipino meal but I think you get more value for your money at a Thai or Chinese restaurant.

Good to see a Filipino restaurant in Brisbane at night. Food wise, pricing and experience. Not so good. For $20 was meant to be good for two people as it was described as shared. Rice is not included which is extra ?$2.50 but its not much. Expensive compare to other Asian restaurants that is more affordable whilst offers a lot more with your buck. Not something I would recommend for an Uber eats order unless you dont have any other option. All in all this shared meal pretty much just fed one person . This is my first experience in this restaurant and my review. Do I recommend? : NO

This spot was brimming with Filipinos having a Sunday lunch, a good sign! Having been thoroughly disappointed by the lack of food (read: NO FOOD) at last weeks Barrio Fiesta, I was in dire need of a good Filipino meal. We got pork bbq (3 pieces), and a serve of beef caldereta and pork adobo with garlic rice. The pork bbq was very tasty, albeit a little chewy but I still enjoyed it. They used pork spare ribs. The beef caldereta was a bit different – I am not used to eating it with peanut butter, it had a satay-like flavour about it. The meat was super tender and it was quite nice. The pork adobo was very different to my mum’s but still decent. I liked it but didn’t love it. I will come again for the nostalgia of home-cooked Filipino food which is so hard to find in Brisbane. Next time I will be sampling the pancit and the halo-halo!

Yes please, Yes Please. Having been here twice now, this is certainly a small Filipino restaurant designed for those with big appetites. Big on service, big on value and, most crucially of all, big on taste. Arline (my eating partner in crime) takes a cheap shot at my ****.5/***** Caldereta (a Spanish style stew, consisting of meat, tomato, spices, olives and capsicum), labelling it like Mama Sitas. Mama Sitas is a packet mix, which includes Caldereta flavor. However, jokes aside, this is totally enjoyed – huge chunks of meat that could feed an army, let alone two, a lovely flavor and just crying out to have all that stew soaked up with some rice. Packet mix or not – which I highly doubt and certainly no harm intended – my money would be on all you Caldereta virgins out there really enjoying your first time. Also, theres a good range of drinks and snacks, including excellent banana chips (****/*****). The sweet corn with melted butter (*****/*****) is the best Ive ever tasted, and just when you think thats the last stop in excellence, along comes the fried chicken (*****/*****) KFC batter beating? No, of course not. But the chicken itself? Succulent, delicious and KFC in this respect doesnt even come close. On top of all this theres a welcoming atmosphere, good service and special offers. If you dont know where it is, its just past the German club with the Gabba on the other side. Recommended!
