Always good for a win here. Had an amazing platter with a delightful kransky and a gravy that spoke to me. Pleasant surprise to be handed pretzels at around 11pm whilst having a few. A friend said they were even better than the ones he had in Munich .
Celebrated Oktoberfest here and it was so brilliant. Plenty of parking on site if you get there early. Great entertainment, great good and of course great beer. I couldn’t go past the pork knuckle which was huge! Oktoberfest menu had alot of variety and service was brilliant. You got your food as you ordered it. All ready and waiting. I always get the Mango Weis beer which l love and is my favourite. Andrew was soo entertaining as well. We really enjoyed ourselves and will definitely be back.
Why do we not go to the German Club more often? The beer selection is amazing and the food THE FOOD!Zum Kaiser definitely offers up the best German food in Brisbane, of that we are certain! You really cant go past the 1kg slow roasted Pork knuckle. Arguably their most infamous dish, served with lashings of smoked beer gravy, fried potatoes and sauerkraut. The Knackwurst are our favourite from the sausage menu. We have also tried the pork belly which is delicious too, with the highlight of this dish being the sweet red cabbage and sour cherry port sauce. Looking around at the other tables, the Kaiser Taster platter is always super popular and looks delectable! Our tip * be sure to book as this place can get busy, particularly around late September/early October. If big hearty German meals arent your thing (then youre mad but thats beside the point) then we definitely recommend visiting for a beer and a hot fresh pretzel with butter which must be consumed sitting in the Beer Hall listening to one-man-band Andrew do his thang. Prost!
