Went to visit with voucher. I found that the foods were with reasonable quantity and quality but would not make my mouth watery. There were some sorts of indian elements in the ingredients. Service was good and ambient is so so…..

Great Food and nice comfortable Restaurant. Love the food it was really great. I had the spicy lamb and crme brulee YUM The wine was really nice. I don’t usually drink wine but really enjoyed this one. Only disappointment was the coffee very strong and bitter.I would recommend this place. A hidden gem.

Located in Shangri-La Gardens, the newly re-named Sylvia’s Restaurant & Wine Bar is The Bayside’s best kept secret. Open Mon-Saturday from 5:30pm with a seasonally varied menu & a boutique wine bare, Sylvia’s is sure to impress!

Fantastic service, lovely atmosphere and beautiful food. Reasonably priced and definitely on the hit list of ‘places to return to.

Dined here tonight with a living social voucher. Was good, my fianc and I felt like we didn’t really fit in and were laughing about it so probably made it worse haha. I had the steak n mash was yummy as but seemed simple, and my man mushroom risotto which he said was goood. We both had choc pudding which for me was too much. But needless to say great food, staff were nice a bit too hawk like lol but it was good. Probably wouldn’t return – unless we hadca voucher hehe.

Took the wife out for her birthday and was a wonderful night. Meals very nice. Steak wasn’t the most flavoursome but was cooked to perfection. And pepper sauce was great also. ( so chef got all the ticks. Just a bad cow). Wife had the lamb rack tried it and suffered with a little food envy. Lamb was cooked to perfection. With a nice crust The deserts were to die for. Apparently they are known for their chocolate fudge desert thingy. And I can see why. It was amazing. Guys I don’t recommend letting your ladies have this desert for special occasions as you will have your work cut out for you satisfying them more then this desert when you get home. I had the honey and drambui parfait and WOW. When it first came out thought it was a little small but was so rich I was happy it was the size it was. perfect amount. Wouldn’t have been able to eat much more The main guy behind the bar was one of the most professional and friendly wait staff members I’ve ever had. think he is the bar manager. He really worked the room to make sure every customer was happy with everything. Recommend it to everyone. Great night out 2 courses and a drink each $110. Well worth it.

Give Deano a go. Don’t let the function room appearance scare you away. This is a quality restaurant.Young chef Dean Skinner is the new chef at this restraunt. We had twice cooked pork belly and a baby beet salad for starters. Ocean trout and sirloin for mains. All were excellent. Great service and quality meals makes for a special night out. The area is not blessed with an embarrassment of choices for fine dinning. I strongly recommend you add Shangri-la Gardens to your special occasion list or just when you have the need to spoil yourself.
