The restaurant is quite nice with a big outdoor area and a good fenced play area for the kids. There is often live music, and I believe kids meals are free on the weekend which is awesome. The food is reasonably decent pub food, although when I recently ordered steak I tried to get it with chips and salad (as I always have)and was told that salad was now at an extra cost and the steak only came with chips and vegetables. Not cool.

Also known as the ‘Fig Restaurant’ (attached). It’s pub grub pure and simple, the staff are pub staff, you’re in a pub don’t expect anymore. While they have spent money on renovations and dressing up the venue (a pub) there’s a TAB, pokies, plenty of patrons dressed in ‘high vis’ but let’s not forget they topless waitress’s …. yep… not a place to take the family, it’s a ‘blokes’ bar Disappointing really, as we made the embarrassing mistake to arranging to meet for Friday night drinks with friends there and well … topless barmaids

Was a NYE booking and the place was very quiet. We have been here many years before and were informed new chef this year so decided to give it another try. And the menu was largely Simplified but lacking in selection – no chicken at all par a chicken parmigiana and a add on.What we got served up was almost similar to our last visit, so much for a new chefs infusion! BUT not all bad…Vietnamese beef Salad – the beef was so salty and dry that it was almost impalpable and the lettuce/salad under was soaked in salty soy. This needs to be off the menu if chef can’t redefine, it was that bad.Buffalo Wings – actually cooked well and the sauce was ok but it was way over coated and almost sickly before I got to the meat. Tone down on the sauce and maybe up the chilli heat.Big Marn – big double beef burger my son enjoyed. I do not think it should be on the adults menu at $18 – maybe a kids half price option attached half the size. It was a good burger though.Grilled prawns with feta and watermelon salad – the prawns were unshelled witch is sort of ok bit they appeared small and had head shell and tail still attached. I had Chili prawn pizza and the prawns were far better – tail only and larger prawns. Very little feta was present also.Prawn Chili and Pesto Pizza – actually having tasted most of the meals I believe mine had the most love. GOOD amount of chilli and decent sized prawns and flavour this was pretty damn good. A little small perhaps but seemed quality.Naked Buritto Bowl – daughters enjoyed this but spent 5 minutes removing the red onion but this was a dish enjoyed.Kids meals were OK but now lacking in selection from previous years. There were three options – Pasta, Cheezy pizza, Fish and chips.

Recent renovations have turned this once beautiful historic pub, into a typical, sterile, standard hotel. The staff are hostile & rude, the food is mediocre at best, if you actually get your order that is. The kitchen staff seem prone to random bouts of amnesia…

Good atmosphere, decent & tasty servings. Have gone here on numerous occasions, sometimes have had friends order for me and then I head down during my lunch break at work The food has always been appealing and cheap when I have gone. They used to have a cheese cob loaf on there menu that I believe they have removed – would be great to have this back as it was amazing! Staff are friendly. Will definitely be back

Great food and great value for money. There was a large group of us and all the meals pretty much came out together even though we all paid in families :)Bit let down that the singer was only there for about an hour but the kids enjoyed the play area!
