My friend told me that they sold the best pies in Queensland. So I gave it a try. My friend and I ordered savoury pie: chicken and mushroom as well as blueberry (if I am not mistaken) pie. I liked the chicken pie. It tasted good. They made the combination well. However, I have to admit that the sweet pie was not for me. It was too sweet. The best part of it just the crumble on the top of the pie. But when I ate the pie, I couldnot hold its sweetness. Savoury pie is better
Steak and mushroom pie with great value and very quick service. The location is convenient being just off the highway and with adequate signage. Will definitely be back!
Exceeded all my expectations. Excellent pies (honesty the best Ive ever had.) It was super busy however there was no wait they cycled through all of the peoples orders really quickly. Definitely will be going there again.

Great pies. Being a long time customer, having my first yatala pie when I was 6-8 years of age with my grand parents they have changed over the years. Flavour has changed, but quality and value for money hasnt.
We got the pepper steak, steak tomato and onion and a caramel cream tart. Pepper steak was tasty and had actual chunks of slow cooked beef which were very tasty. The steak and tomato was also tasty. Both pies were crispy and huuuge! Very reasonable for cost. I was envious of all the seasoned Yatala pie visitors who had added potato and peas. I didn’t realise you could do this and will definitely be trying that next time! Now onto dessert….. the caramel tart was delicious. Looks sickly sweeet but wasn’t at all. A subtle caramel flavour which is delicious. Staff are super efficient and obviously have the system down pat because the line was super long but got through pretty quick. Love love love that sauce is free- I mean it’s a pie joint and what’s a pie without sauce?! Will definitely be back. Yum.
Went there with high expectations but ends up disappointed. Tried the curry beef pie and the chucky beef pie. Curry beef pie was ok but the chucky beef pie was below average. It was not even hot and the sauce in the pie is blend. Doesnt worth $6.5. Baking my own frozen pies would be more crispy and hot straight out of the oven.
