Found this somewhat new street food eatery serving up Malaysian hawker food in Rundle Mall (located under the City Library). Loving the contemporary vibes, and the affordable menu. Ordered the Sarawak Laksa and the Singaporean Laksa, and found the latter to be a bit underwhelming mainly due to the thick film of chilli oil, or oil from the laksa paste. Both had very good flavours though.
Just found this hidden gem in one of Rundle Mall alleys on a Friday late night shopping. They serve pretty much Singaporean-Malaysian cuisine, but not so much option for drinks. We ordered Hainanese chicken rice and Nasi Lemak with fried chicken wings, accompanied by homemade lemon tea. Here is the honest review;1. Hainanese chicken rice -Impressive 4/5. You even get to choose if you want chicken breast or thighs (a lot of places just offer thighs only). Rice is very fragrant, chicken is really tender! Also, chili was amazing Would definitely order again!2. Nasi Lemak – chicken wings were deeply marinated and crispy. It was delicious. Condiments were pretty average but the chili given in the beginning was really little a d we asked for extra (it was free!). However, rice was soft. Yes it was coconut rice but it was really soft and unpleasant. The rest was great!3. Homemade iced lemon tea- average. Will come back to try their pork belly and another hainanese rice!
