Two mates & I had a Friday lunch here. The service was okay, though some training wouldnt go astray. The food & servings were good. The wine list was reasonable & glassware appropriate. I will definitely be back, especially to try one of their 2 thick scotch steaks.

My cousin and I visited Kaffana on Peel on April 27td for dinner. The dinner cost us $115 which is a fair price for the amount and quality of food and drinks we had.The next morning my cousin who paid the bill noticed that she was charged $1115!!!! AS we were visiting from Sydney and had to fly back, we contacted the restaurant upon on return and mentioned the issue. Well, we all know things like this happen in business world everyday. The lady on the phone (don’t want to mention names) apologised, said that she has noticed this, it has happened to a couple of other customers and all we need to do is send them through contact details and account details, which we did straight away. we called her 10 days later following up and she said she has lost the phone and there are issues with bank etc. but reassured us that we would get our money back. It has been a month now. she has not returned her money back. One day, I am told that she is the manager, the other day she says she needs to talk to boss. she has been not answering our calls anymore and she hung up the phone while we were talking to her on the phone right now. We just lodged a complained with the Fair Trading. My cousin is a recent graduate, visiting us from Spain. This sum of money has been a big chunk of her saving she has now lost. Had it not been for the fact she was staying with us, who would have been responsible for her being $1000 short? Can a successful business such as Kaffanna not pay the customer who has been overly charger by $1000 after 30 days?

Mixed grill delight Decided to grab some traditional Balkan food, particularly looking forward to my favourite>cevapcici and other specialities. We ordered x2 Mix traditional meat platters and steak as there was four of us (bigger blokes) and we were pretty hungry. Unfortunately only one came out and we were still hungry, but thought wed move on as couldnt be bothered waiting again. The meat platter was pretty nice including my favourite salad: sopska and they had some nice beers too!Definitely, a nice place with plenty of seating in the heart of cbd,

Came for dinner recently. Food was great, very generous portion size for the price you paid. I loved the chilli cream prawns, so tasty and the sauce was delicious that I couldnt resist eating it with the bread. Staff friendly enough but service was a little inconsistent, perhaps due to the large number of diners. I think the ambience could be improved as could the flow of the decor and interior, but thats not crucial when you know youre guaranteed a tasty meal.

Food was very good. Service was friendly enough however failed in some basic areas, perhaps lack of experience, uncertain as to why. The wine served was hot. It was a 38 degree day and tasted like it was kept in a storage shed outside somewhere. We asked for ice and had to place the red wine on ice and add ice to our wine. The second bottle came out and despite requests for a cool bottle, it to was hot. A nice place to eat, just a little extra care on customer service and attention to detail would be the only thing holding them back from a 4-4.3 which is really where they should be.

Hmmmm. Feel sorry for the staff. Really sorry. Theyre coping with a new venue and an incompetent kitchen only capable of producing 3 bph (burgers per hour). The staff say that the grill is really small. Suggest alternative venue when this place is busy or extreme patience.
