Romantic setting and polite, professional service at this inner city gem.My friend and I were attracted to their menu, as good French cuisine is limited in Adelaide. We also likedthe sound of their truffle options. The risotto and mashed potato featured truffles and did not disappoint. My Duck Confit was also delicious. Desserts of Assiette de Chocolat and Crme Brulee made for a beautiful finish.
Having visited Le Mistral in Willunga and finding out that La Provence is run by the same people I was keen to visit the convenient city location. The food, as expected, was excellent. The terrine and pigeon were delicious and the soup with the puff pastry casing was a bit of theatre. The mains were equally as good – the duck confit just melted and the lamb shoulder with polenta was a great meal. The risotto also got a thumbs up. Staff are really professional and friendly. Great to see the owners on the floor. The only slightfault of the night was slightly slow drinks service.
