After going to dessert story for years it was good to go to a similar yet different Taiwanese dessert restaurant, however to my suprise it was very similar! I ordered the herbal jelly series with tara + red bean and enjoyed it however compared to other similar places in Melb/Syd I think Adelaide is still missing out on some of the other chains.
Decent Taiwanese dessert for hot or cold days! The people making the desserts aren’t experts but the desserts come out quite nice, though a bit too pricey for what you get. Great for friends or when you’re on a date in town.
Good overall. I like it it’s like traditional Taiwan dessert with healthy things in the dessert. Been there many times with friends good place to chat I think. Cause there is not much pp.
Disappointing. I went there twice but the food literally let me down. I ordered mango ice crush and hot herbal jelly with taro mash and honey beans but both of them turned out to be totally different from the picture. I can’t see any effort in making the mango ice crush while for the hot herbal jelly, there is no jelly at all. It is literally a whole bowl of black herbal soup (although in the picture, it shows that it is jelly). Image below is the comparison between picture vs reality
Though first the idea of Taiwanese dessert place sounded odd, it’s only after the visit inside open your eyes to whole new world and definition of desserts. They have wide variety of hot and cold desserts. Tofu pudding with sweet potato and taro balls we had was amazing. It was very different from your normal dessert but very delicious. Winter melon tea with sago balls and coconut stars was another best seller, 1lt super cup for just $6 puts all those expensive bubble tea shops to shame. Great experience and worth a visit and try with open mind!
I’m glad I went with my Asian friend or I seriously would’ve had no idea what to order… But my shaved ice plus additions wasn’t overly sweet & flavours unusual but it really was delicious in it’s own unique way.. I did like it!!
