We booked through their online booking system and there were no problems. We were a large group in for Fathers Day breakfast and the service was great. Their breakfast menu has Western offerings and Filipino choices. I went with the Filipino breakfast and it was delicious pork, fried eggs and rice. With chilli sauce and good coffee it was a great start to the day. Just regarding previous reviews – the poached eggs were all served runny. I asked for mine well cooked and that was no issue.
FOOD: pork hock main with halo halo desert. Pork crispy on outside, moist tender and tasty on inside. Halo halo was refreshing and enjoyable, it’s the only one I’ve ever had, can’t compare. Food was quick to come out.SERVICE: it’s pretty clear that have a lot of pride in their business, from the food and service. They have service down pat.AMBIENCE : big prints on the wall, pot plants, chilled music. Very comfortable setting.
Probably the only decent Filipino restaurant out there in Adelaide. Nino’s Lamesita is both combination of modern cuisine/Filipino oriental cuisine. Based from my experience, most food that they sell to people are improvised in a way to stay up in the competition. Plating, decoration and taste are all essentials to a restaurant food to succeed which I have witnessed from Nino’s Lamesita. (Make sure: that if you are keen to try Filipino dishes, go at night time for the reason that it’s only available for dinner time only). Overall, the whole place is amazing and no wonder it survived for this long unlike other Filipino restaurants in Adelaide. Must try(s) : Halo- Halo *Filipino dessert Positive: Great Range of Food/Choices. service is excellent and the people are welcoming.Negative: Filipino Dishes( majority ) are only available at night time.
I went to Nio’s on a very rainy evening with several friends while on a quick visit from Melbourne. The restaurant is very inviting, with its bright and colourful interior. The staff were very friendly and attentive, and offered helpful advice on what to order. We were informed that it was $10 cocktail night. Amazing. They were delicious, with a tropical twist, and very expertly made. We ordered a variety of dishes to share between the four of us, and they were well presented and really yummy. The accompanying sauces matched perfectly, and the meat was perfectly cooked and melted in the mouth. I was so impressed with this little restaurant. It was definitely a highlight of my trip to Adelaide, and I could not recommend it enough.
Really great food at this Filipino restaurant. We had the crispy pork hock which was so tasty! The duck adobo was awesome too. I think the only thing missing was garlic rice, which we always love to have. For dessert we had halo halo. So yummy!
Met here with my Filipino colleagues and it was the best meal I have ever had. My first time trying this cuisine but surely not gonna be the last. The set up of the restaurant is perfect not too casual and not too formal. The servers were great and very accommodating to our needs ( we were of 8 people). The food was presented very well and the accompaniments perfectly complimented each of the dishes. My favourite was the beef (in the main course) well cooked and seasoned well with the gravy. The yam ice cream was fantastic well made and looked very appealing.. My partner is a big fan of this dish already.. All in all a great place will come back for the breakfast. Keep it up guys.. Special mention to Marie who works here was of great help while ordering and choosing the correct dishes for us..
Im going to proclaim myself a loyal customer of Nios as there will probably only be a handful of people who have flown in specifically to support a restaurant.John and Maria and their team, like most people in the hospitality industry are extremely hardworking individuals. They are very hands on from the moment they wake up at dawn to venture to the market to handpick their seasonal produce for the day. They then slave themselves in the kitchen to cook the food home style and then serve it to you in person. If you are lucky, as I have been, they will sit down with you to have a chat and a gossip. The last meal I had at Nios was with family. For 6 adults, numerous mains, with desserts, lots of cocktails and a nice bottle of Serafino came to $550, after a leisurely 5 hours dinner. All the dishes were cooked well and served in large portions sometimes a bit too large, and that is really the only negative I can think of about this place. They are too generous!I will definitely come back and treat the family again next time. All the best Nios! Continue working hard. I know that the hospitality industry is a cutthroat business, especially with a niche cuisine but for my sake I hope you will continue to deliver good food the next time I fly back into Rad-elaide!
