A lunch menu that is cheap but most definitely NOT nasty. Lots of choice for $10. I enjoyed the Steak Sandwich with side serve of crispy chips. I must mention, my Asahi Beer off tap was super fresh and beautifully ice cold. Check out the menu in the photo gallery.Cucina Vita rating 4 out of 5.#livelovefood jletti.com

Image problem.. The Astor was ‘ok’ when they were doing $10 dinner specials e.g. schnitzel/steak etc. They ditched or modified the specials in February and neither myself nor my room mates have returned. The Astor doesn’t do anything well enough to be worth more than $10.Happy hour is reasonable.

Rump steak. I came here to try the $10 steak, I was expecting small piece of steak. After we made an order, full of people hard to get a seat. 20 minutes later, we could now enjoy the medium rare drump steak. The steak was over cooked to well done, which was very chewy. Very disappointed!

New menu new head chef worth another try and food was excellent. Love the new menu something for every one and definitely some delightful choices you don’t expect to see in pubs. This head chef has got it right and certainly knows how to cook. Well done astor you found a good one.

Average. Nothing too flash, and a bit put off my meal when a rat ran through the dining hall!
