Incredible Italian food and great service over multiple visits. One of my highest recommendations for the Barossa Valley and I will definitely continue to visit.

Was greatly recommended by a friend from Barossa to try this. The chef and wife who normally runs this place were very friendly and provides great service. However, they do have a limited menu. Only a few entrees , pasta of the day and the dessert. Had the bruschetta which was surprisingly good- Home made sourdough bread with goats curd and locally sourced prosciutto. The gnocchi and the italian pork sausage was delicious. Gnocchi perfectly done. And the best of all was the dessert, coffee custard with orange twill. Good combination of flavours.

This was on top of my to do list for our recent food & wine trip to Barossa..attended a cooking class with Matteo..he is so meticulous & rustic at the same time..loved the whole experience & lunch that we cooked & imported wines that are sourced from Italy by Matteo & his wife Fiona.. Italian coffee made by Fiona for us was cherry on the top..would love to return for lunch cooked by Matteo on our next visit to Barossa

YOU MUST VISIT & EXPERIENCE FOR YOURSELF. What an experience to have the kitchen decide the food for you (if you want) and sit back and enjoy great food and hospitality. Hosts were great educating us about the Italian food and its origins also where it came from locally which often had a great story attached. Food was delicious, so fresh, locally sourced ingredients and in a great way simple honest food with great flavour. We will definitely be back to experience the cooking school which would be a great day.Well worth the drive from Adelaide which took us just over an hour. Beautiful little town Angaston, great little cellar door around the corner a must visit after lunch and even a playground nearby for the kids.Great day – great experience – great restaurant!
