A solid effort offering simple fare at decent prices. Very nice staff. I rarely eat in as the mums with kids put me off, so if that’s changed I’m not sure. I’ve also turned up at 8:55 hoping for a quick takeaway coffee and watched staff inside setting up and ignoring me completely. At 9:05 they still hadn’t opened… I know it’s a sleepy village and perhaps I should be more patient? But with another 4 Cafes I could go to before the freeway they lost me that day, and probably for a while. Coffee is mild flavoured.

Friendly staff, decent cafe food and coffee. I have been eating here semi-regularly for a few years. Staff are always friendly and helpful and the menu has a decent array of dishes. It’s also one of the few places in the Adelaide hills that does an all day breakfast. However, it seems many parents are content to let their kids run riot in what is a large and echo-y space with a dedicated children’s play area – that can be wearing if you’re not in the mood (surely also on the staff as well as on other customers!).

Handy if you’ve got kids (there’s a generous play area) but the food is average and the coffee way too hot. Table service would be nice, given there’s usually three or four staff working, but service is minimal.

Great food, friendly service. Very good gluten free menu, and kids menu. They catered easily and cheerfully for my gluten and dairy free 4yo. Easy place to take kids to.

Sweet little cafe, lovely food and good service. It would have been much nicer if the room wasn’t full of loud, running children; combined with a very echoey room this is a problem.

Spectacular food from people that obviously have a passion for cooking it. We don’t come here enough. 20/11/18 Back again today – its still spectacular food. Thank you for my delicious Angus Beef burger today.

  • Erucsbo

Fave Hills Caff. Love this place – excellent coffee and a good menu with a fairly broad selection. Prices are ok – probably middle of the road, ..but the serves are generous (esp the breakfasts!) and quality is good so worth the $$. The cherry on top for us though is the kid’s play area..!
