nice cafe in blackwood, went here for lunch. there was plenty to choose from on the specials menu for a cheap lunch, I had the schnitzel and chips with mushroom gravy and it was good. not the best one I have had, but for the special price it was a good deal.
first time visitor. catch up with friends, we sat outside under the pergola type area. we were all pleased with our food, it was good quality and came out quickly. service was quick and friendly, never had to flag a waiter.prices are reasonable. given the staff are all young and not being paid adult wages, I would have expected prices to be a bit cheaper.will return.
My husband loves gnocchi and it is hard to find a good one. We had tried most places in the area and saw that Montagna’s had it on the menu. We got there about 6:30 and were seated pretty quickly (ie choose a table that doesn’t have a reserved sign on it). Within 10 mins we were asked if we wanted drinks, and then another 10 mins for food. Of course my husband chose the gnocchi. About 20 mins later we were told the gnocchi was sold out, so he had to choose something else. 5 mins later my meal came out …. and as I was about 1/2 way through it, his came out.Staff should be notified if a item is sold out so that the customer can choose something without being told it isn’t available, and also being able to dine at the same time with other people.Must say though my chicken & prawn dish was great & had 8 prawns.!
