The inside of the restaurant looks lovely, modern and clean. My partner and I have ordered schnitzels we both thoroughly enjoyed, I chose to have mine with the mushroom gravy which was delicious.They do have a kids play area on one side of the restaurant which can get VERY loud. Last time my partner booked we requested to be on the opposite side of the restaurant and were told this would happen but it did not. However when we arrived the manager did change our table to the quiet side of the restaurant.
My first Monicas experience has left me underwhelmed. The staff didnt seem enthused to be there in the slightest, one particular staff member resembled a sloth, slowly meandering around with no real purpose or passion for what she was doing, couldnt even produce a smile while bringing things to the table. Tables werent set and while the food was delivered we had no cutlery to eat. Plates were badly chipped and that doesnt fly in my book.Other than that the food was passable, lengthy wait but it was quite busy this particular Sunday morning so I wasnt overly concerned with that.
Have had lunch here a couple of times. Nothing special, just an average Cafe. Food is nice, there is one waitress in particular who was very friendly and polite her name was Steph H, she is their biggest asset, however I can’t say much for some of the other waitresses/waiters and the price in my opinion is a little too high.
Tonight we went to Monica’s for a birthday dinner and the food was amazing everyone loved their meals only negative I have was the children’s play area it made it very hard to have a conversation at our table and also gave me a headache with all the screaming
Look, honestly? Low quality food and low quality drinks. Your all too common, below-average but extremely cheap restaurant.Just a lot of junk/fast food on offer really.Oily Pizza and pasta, greasy battered seafood.Burnt coffee. Unfriendly staff.The chefs here lack any sort of creative ability or talent with their meals. Does this place know what real food tastes or looks like?Plus what’s with the massive kids playground inside the restaurant? I guess its great if you enjoy kids screaming at the top of their lungs while you’re trying to eat your poorly made food served by your extremely rude waitress. I recommend looking at their Facebook page, it really gives you a sense of the place and the staff. Wherever there is a comment from somebody criticising the place, there’s a staff member responding right back just insulting them and trying to tell them how wrong they are.Exceedingly unprofessional and immature but all the while entertaining at how some people choose to run a business.
It’s awesome to have a nice restaurant in the northern Suburbs and Monica’s is the best. Great food and service with a smile is a perfect combination. If your ever out north and want a nice sit down meal, you can’t go past Monica’s!!!!!
Generous to verging on huge servings with good prompt service. Our first experience was thoroughly enjoyable. Both my partner and I had missed Lunch so were very hungry when we ordered our Tea. The food was delivered quickly, was well presented and tasted great. We will go back to see if they can keep up the standard.
