Family favourite for a laid back lunch or dinner. Snitty’s are great, they have a range of different toppings which are really nice and something different.
We came for lunch one day mid week and we were extremely disappointed. We ordered burgers and they were oily and very ordinary, lacking flavour and quite expensive for what it was. The service was also a bit slow and I know it was mid week for lunch when they probably have limited staff but it’s no excuse. I doubt I’ll be back.
Good variety of food (especially considering the ever changing specials!) and all very delicious. Staff are friendly and I haven’t had a bad meal yet! One of the best pubs I’ve gone to!

The Excelsior Hotel changed hands in November 2014 and is now a friendly, family run Hotel.There is a new menu and website with all the information you require.Live bands feature on Friday nights.Come and try!
The Excelsior was recommended to us by a workmate who lives locally. Such a lovely place for a nice and relaxing pub meal. We were promptly greeted by friendly and welcoming staff. We didn’t have to wait long at all for our meals. Our entree was delicious (Trio of dips). Both meals were yummy and very enjoyable to eat. Good value for money. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this pub to friends and family.
