Great rolls, have spring rolls and dim sum . Well priced , always come here after work for a snack. The goyim know this place has tasty rolls. Hard to beat .
Came here whilst on my work trip to Adelaide as recommend by some of the local guys I was working with. This is a classic Viet takeaway shop, it’s pretty empty on the inside apart from the counter and the Bain-Marie used to store the ingredients for the view rolls. I ordered the bbq chicken roll with the lot expect for chill and two veggie spring rolls. The Viet bbq chicken roll was ok, was warm from the chicken which also had a nice flavour but was over powered by the rest of the veggies and sauce.
Such good service, can place orders (large orders) and request a time for pick up, they get it right every time. The taste of the rolls are delicious, I’ve tried a few of what they offer – the satay and roasted pork rolls are my fav. Really nice!
Change of management brings it’s usual downfalls. …….gutted.Change of management brings about a change of menu (more options, less focus), a change of prices (more expensive), and a change of quality.Where do I start………I’ll start with the cold (should have been hot but this was merely a sign of things to come) spring rolls that are now an inch shorter and taste like the ones bought at foodland. YES, gone are those long delicate golden flaky rolls with that amazing crunch, replaced by the generic aforementioned. Gone are the delicious juicy dim sims with garnish and sauce, replaced by lesser quality choices (pork and chicken now) with squeeze bottles of soy sauce. Gone are the quality meats that were used, and that minced meat stuff that was potent in flavor, but oh so delicious on the combo roll. Gone are the focused salads that made such a simple elegant roll into a flavor sensation, replaced by generic ingredients including lettuce.Gone is this little gem of a shop, that became oh so popular with the locals and passer-by’s on their way to work. Replaced by someone trying to change a successful simple menu into something that might make them wads of cash.I won’t be returning.
Little Vietnamese Shop of Delights. THought I’d try the dedicated shop…menu consist of very little….but oh my god what they do…THEY DO VERY VERY WELL…..AND CHEAP.Vietnamese Combo Roll is amazing….I found the meat ball roll to be overwhelming but that little bit of meatball mixed with all those other delicious meats along with every other bit of goodness…and the salads….AMAZING.Occasionally the rolls can be ever so slightly stale….but never to the point you;re upset with the quality.
Best Vietnamese rolls in Adelaide hands down. Great dim sims too. I am here once a week without fail and the staff are always friendly and helpful.
