We came to this place while ago when we visited Burra. The place is quite small, there is indoor and outdoor area and both area are small, all up capacity around 30 to 35pax. We ordered nasi goreng and chicken curry. It took about thirty minutes until the food arrived. The nasi goreng was fantastic and chicken curry was awesome. We do like it. Service pretty ok
Certainly the best (breakfast) nasi goreng I’ve had outside Indonesia and one of the best ever. The raw chilis were absolutely delectable. I’d go back there in a heartbeat.
visited this place back in February last year for Valentine’s Day! What a pleasant surprise for Valentine’s Day!Didn’t expect to find this delightful Balinese place here in Burra. I joked with the owner and told him there are probably more Australians living and visiting Bali right now than those currently in Burra! He agreed and we all laughed. Anyway on first arriving we entered a very beautifully decorated little place with Balinese furniture, ornaments , trinkets and art work. Beautiful and tranquil Balinese music was playing to add to the ambience and relaxed mood.We were greeted warmly by an older Australian gentleman who gave our menus and took our orders. The menu was not extensive but that was not a problem as we only wanted two main dishes anyway. We ordered the vegetable curry in coconut milk and spices. The other dish was Nasi goreng the traditional Indonesian rice dish. The food came out smelling and looking fabulous and very generous servings. The food looked great and beautifully presented. We began to eat and I must say it was the best Indonesian or Balinese I have had in over 20 years! Faultless . The Balinese chef came out of the kitchen to greet us and asked how we were enjoying the food. I told him it was superb and we chatted about Bali etc and the food. I thought that wAs s nice thing for him to come and greet us . Btw. We drank a glass of Merlot with the food and it complimented it very well. All in all it was a delight to dine in this place and I must admit if this place was in a bigger city like Adelaide I am sure it will do a roaring trade .
Up from Adelaide. Booked in advance. 16 Adults and 3 children. Had the restaurant to ourselves as it was a smaller room. Some had the banquet others off the menu. Francis (owner) catered for the children which was great. Other ‘s that ordered off the menu were very happy. I was one who had the Banquet. The food just kept coming. There was a lot, and it was fantastic. I left very satisfied. Local wines, great beer, what a perfect evening. Everything was fresh and faultless. The desert was nothing like i have ever had. I was a pancake, but not the way i know it. Very addictive.
