We have been here a couple of times.The white linen tablecloth had stains down the side I was seated – it looked like spilled soy sauce.He got his favourite shallot cake to start & loved it. Sis & I ordered fried dim sims to share but steamed ones were brought to our table & we didn’t realise the error until the waitress had left, so we ate them anyway.The presentation of the main courses was poor – they were swamped with sauce. Normally I like a lot of sauce but this was excessive. I had Szechuan prawns. The sauce was too sweet for me and left me gasping for water which was eventually brought to the table. She had spicy satay chicken & cleaned her plate. He had black bean mussels & ate them all leaving a soup-like sauce behind.We also had special fried rice which I found dry and tasteless.
I have eaten here on special occasions for many years & have NEVER had a bad meal or bad service. This is not in my local area but I keep returning because the food is excellent, the prices good and the staff friendly. I have recommended this restaurant to friends who also now eat here regularly and love the place. Great value for money.A definite 5 out of 5 in my book.
