Have visited this place several times over the years and have found it consistently disappointing. Staff are friendly but every visit there has been issues with food, service or waiting times when only a few patrons – they never get it right. Wait times are always long and inconsistent – people who have not long ordered getting their order, while I have been waiting 30-40 minutes. Not much option in the area so I return to see if it’s better but then recall why I am not a regular. Don’t pop in for a quick meal!

Caffe Boungiorno is like, the next step up from Caffe Primo.Been here twice now and both time have been satisfactory. Nothing spectacular, the staff are suspiciously young but very friendly, prices are pretty standard and so is the menu. Probably the only worthwhile restaurant in a few km radius in O’Halloran Hill.

Went for Valentine’s Day meal and it was the most disorganised event. There’s no excuse for poor service when knowing it’s going to busy especially on such a special night out for a couple.Told it was going to be 50 mins for steak meal and was around 70 mins.My pasta main was served several minutes before steak meal.Steak meal was totally different than ordered. Then realised they were serving wine by glass instead of the bottle ordered, when informing bar staff dhe was stroppy mainly due to feeling under pressure.Eat half the pasta meal together as it was watery.Gelati dessert was tasteless too.

Great for a quick bite to eat or for a seedy Sunday breakfast. The staff are always friendly and prompt. The meals are a great size and generally tick all the right boxes. We loved the Pizza’s.

Went there for dinner Saturday 3/10/15 was surprised on how great of a experience we had was served by friendly floor staff with some amazing food finished with perfectly made coffee. I had the Vitello fungi which was amazing it came with perfectly cooked /seasoned veg, hot crisp fried potatoes & veal was cooked to perfection complimented by to die for creamy sauce with plenty of mushrooms in it. My partner had the penne puttanesca which was also truly amazing to chef who knows how to combine oil & tomato with out oil being left in the bottom of your plate. Ordered round 7:35 we waited over 25 mins for our food but Due to quality & care the chef put into his food was well worth the wait as we could see kitchen was under a bit of pressure with only 2 chefs working. Best of all was great to see a chef who was smiling & actually enjoys cooking even though he was flat out he was still smiling as we saw him put up over 30 plus meals by himself in under a hour! We noticed chef looked familiar & it’s the old chef from when this place was amazing! Thanks also to waitress Jessica for your polite manner & friendly smile when we were served by u. We will be telling all our friends that safe to go back & eat they finally got a real chef working back at caffe b oh. Thanks again to great staff that worked on Saturday night u will be seeing us again soon.

Wednesday 1/7/15 about 4:00 p.m. went for our usual Pizza, Chips and Beer. The chips were great and the beers were cold and Chelsea and Jessica were polite and helpful. The Tropicana Pizza had minimal topping and tasted like cardboard. Ate at this restaurant last night and the pizza was great well presented and extremely tasty. I have spoken to management about the pizza maker and have had no less than 4 previous issues with this pizza maker making poor quality pizzas. Brought this to the attention of the owners via an email tonight and was basically told I did not know what I was talking about and to take my business elsewhere by the owner Tony Russo. Tony’s wife Leni was understanding when I spoke to her previously about this issue and the staff member Jessica told me this afternoon that she knew there were issues with this pizza maker. Have decided to take Tony’s advice and spend my money elsewhere. Really disappointed with how this has been handled.

Disappointing food and service. We were disappointed with the 4 meals we ordered today, the pastas dishes were bland and just tasted like plain cream, the bruschetta was just their garlic bread with chopped tomato which was also bland. The salmon special had a side salad which had overlooked asparagus and corn which was obviously from a can which was disappointing. We were also disappointed with the staff and their service, it seemed any request simply inconvenienced them and it was clear that they would rather be anywhere else. Waste of money and time. Definitely will not be going back.
