was excited to try some of the local restaurants. Decided to try something new and ordered the chilli and lemongrass tofu which tasted very nice. The vietnamese spring rolls were a miss though, they were smaller then other vietnamese restaurants and were overcooked.Also when I went to pay, the lady asked what we had and just plugged in random numbers into the calculator, I think our meal was suppose to be $33ish but was charged $39ish unless the prawn crackers were $10??
Since its bit of a drive I’ve not been to the HillTop for over 12 months, went there tonight after a bit of a mix up after receiving another restaurants flyer in the post that looked the same (previous owners I believe, re-opened up in competition with people they sold their business to, which is quiet dishonest!). Anyway I totally Agree!!, the New owners and chef’s have just stepped up the mark in the quality of food 100%. Really enjoyed the quality of the food its just better than it was before. Definitely going to start going back regularly like I have over the years!! Well done
This place is a family favourite! Good food and service and close to home 🙂 yummy food! I like the noodle dishes and the cold rolls especially
Yuck! Tasteless! Ordered garlic noodles that were literally 2 minute noodles mixed with peas and cabbage. Would never order from this place again. Waste of money
Even better now under the new management. Both lunch and dinner menu are pretty much the same as before. But they cook even better. And they offer additional noodle bar menu which also surprised me in a good way. The service is more professional now. I have visited it 4 times this week already. Haha
Came here last night spontaneously as we were on the way home. Was so surprised when I opened the door and it was packed with people! We didn’t like our luck on getting a table but the bent over backwards to make us up a table. I told me husband that there wasn’t many people eating that there must be a massive wait, but we were served very fast and the waitress was amazing with my 7 year old who was having a hard time with the noise due to all the people talking. I was surprised again when the bill was soo small. So happy to have found this place again a after 10 years and will definitely be going back. Thanks guys.
Eat here regularly and never disappointed. Good quality, selection and take away service. Have never eaten in the dinning room so cannot comment on that
