Service was good, and the servers were quite attentive. However the meals themselves were underwhelming. The pork fillet special was not presented very well, looking unappetising but tasting good (but not great) , and the pork ribeye was cooked well but lacked seasoning. Panna cotta dessert was delicious and would recommend that! Overall the food was decent but certainly could be better.
Exceptional Food. Ordered a entree of the curried chicken and corn soup, which is quite possibly the best soup we have ever had. For mains we had the chicken pie and the venison meatballs. Both were excellent meals. Would recommend to others if they are staying in the Clare Valley.
The food was a let down. I ordered the eye fillet which just came with mash & cold (out of the jar) sundried tomatoes on the side- very standard & not worth the $33. We also ordered a dessert that was talked up on the menu (chocolate & pecan tart with salted caramel sauce) but when it came out, it looked and felt like it just came out of the freezer packet and the ‘salted’ caramel sauce tasted like it was a Coles caramel topping brand. The service on the other hand was prompt and friendly. The wine selection was good (although it should be given the location) but overall I would say its over priced – they really need to address their menu or get a new cook..
