A small and rather dated place but they make nice pork chops. The broken rice can be a bit dry at times. The congee is also quite nice, especially when you are under the weather.
I’ve been here many times now and I usually only have the savoury VN pancake. I’ve tried their other dishes but they weren’t really to my liking. Combination noodle (hu tieu) is sometimes good, on other days it smells very strongly of pork fat which makes it hard to eat. Their rice is ok, but the fish sauce it comes with is bland and could be better. They have some good days and some not so good, and it’s hard to tell when I will get a good meal or if I will leave hungry.
Authentic. Definitely more on the authentic side of Vietnamese cuisine found in Australia rather than being commercial. Unlike many Vietnamese restaurants, it serves a wider variety of dishes from different parts of Vietnam, including Banh Xeo from the south/central, Bun Bo Hue from centre and the more traditional and well-known pho dish from the North. The restaurant also serves local and unknown dishes such as bun mang vit and chao long. Highly recommend.
Prawn Cold Rolls. My partner and I being a huge Pho fan, we almost try all of the pho shop around adelaide. Have not eat cold roll for a while, feel like eating it. We ordered freshly made prawns cold rolls followed by combination beef noodle soup. Although the cold rolls in different size, it tasted good.
Lovely. Delightful, small family Vietnamese restaurant with lots of traditional favourites including Banh Xeo every night! Yay!My favourite in the area, even though they don’t serve alcohol.
Small but popular restaurant. The cold rolls were good as was the pancake. The bowls of noodles coming out looked great but were too full to try.
