Ive been to the Bracegirdles here a few times, and I can say that they are consistent. Food and drinks- especially the chilli hot chocolate!- it consistently delicious. The wall near the front counter is covered in delectable treats, complete with a chocolate fountain and display cabinet of gourmet chocolates. My only criticisms is that the way prices are expensive, service can be variable and slow and its too cold. Part of the appeal of Bracegirdles is its warmth compared to Glenelg in freezing winter- would really appreciate the front door shut with a we are open sign and the heater cranked up as we were still shivering last night!
Went for a quick dark hot chocolate run on a freezing Monday night. This medium sized mug costs around $7-8. Couldnt remember the exact number since there was a 15% extra charge for public holiday. Taste was pretty decent, not too sweet too which was good. 4/5 for taste. It’s a bit expensive for a mug of hot chocolate. I’d give 3/5 for price wise.
