Fantastic waitress ( love the toilet fresheners). Food was beautiful, pita bread to die for, main course very substantial. The taste so fresh, meat cooked perfectly, vegetables yummo. This place is the whole package. Expresso Martini got the thumbs up. Only downfall was wine prices but not even that would stop me recommending this restaurant.
An experience like no other, but not in a good way will not be returning! Service: Overall was terrible, and at times non-existent. The waiter only asked half the table for their drinks order, and when the other half finally prompted a waiter to take their order the chaos continued. Not once did a waiter ask if anyone wanted more drinks, instead empty bottles and glasses were left to clutter the table – all while we sat and watched 3 staff stand behind the bar talking to each other, polishing the same glass over and over. The place wasn’t even near capacity, so I would hate to see what its like when they are busy. Mains: 4 of our guests ordered the set menu, only to be told by the waiter that unless > 70% of the table ordered this they were not able to accommodate (despite the menu stating that it was for 4 or more people). The people at our table felt pressured to change their order so that our birthday guest (who was celebrating their 60th) could have the set menu. In the end, we decided that we would all get our own meals only to find that certain menu items were unavailable. The main meals themselves were okay, but for the price you pay you can have nicer and better value for money at Kefi or Taverna. Dessert: We ordered 3 serves of Loukoumades, only to have the waitress come back and advise they didn’t have enough, they could only give us 2 serves and 1 guest would have to share with someone else. To make up for the shortage, we were offered a side of strawberries for free. The same waitress returned a few minutes later advising that they were also out of strawberries. I find it hard to believe that they weren’t able to make another mixture of loukoumades given the simple ingredients (water, milk, sugar, salt, butter, flour, eggs etc.). But to be honest, it was a good thing they ran out, when the serve of Loukoumades came out they were over-cooked, rock hard, and dry. Not even the side of ice cream was enough to make them edible. At least we had our dessert arrive, one of guests had their dessert left sitting on the counter. We sat watching, waiting, but no-one bothered to bring it to the table (despite still appearing on our final bill). The only positive thing I can say at least the cold and disinterested waiter processed our payment quickly so that we could get out of there.
