Not Good. Recently moved back from Asia. Hoping to find a good local. Ordered the goat bahra masala and chicken Kukhura. Both were watery and tough.Sorry – not good but honest.
We really like this place! My husband and I have been here a few times and we always end up ordering the banquet for two. The food is served steaming hot, and is tasty and authentic. The staff are very well organised and are ready to assist you with whatever you need. I think we paid around $120 (with a drink) each time we visited, which is reasonable for a special dinner – not great if you want a quick meal, which often we do. Perhaps it would be a lot cheaper if you ordered a couple of dishes and shared…not sure. If you know a lot of people in the area and want privacy, I would probably go somewhere else. The tables are quite close together, which is good because it gives a nice warm, cosy feeling, but bad if you want an intimate meal together. I would definitely recommend the Kathmandu Palace!!!
Delicious and authentic!. I spent a month in Nepal and so this dinner had some high expectations. They met them!We were a group of four and had been warned that the portions individually could be a bit small so we went for the banquet option ($36.90pp). It had a nice assortment of dishes and we were comfortably full afterwards. The pumpkin dish was by far everyone’s favourite and we almost wished we could have swapped it for something for a second serve! The staff were very attentive for a busy Friday night with the place packed with people but we didn’t have to wait and making a reservation for four was relatively simple. It’s probably good that this place is tucked away on Nile street because if it was on Jetty Rd. you’d never be able to make a reservation. Will definitely go back! The papadum in place of bread before the meal was a nice touch
TOP MARKS. Great food, great helpful staff and very accommodating. Will return asap and highly recommend anyone to try.
Awesome!. We ate here on a cold and stormy weeknight and found the small cosy atmosphere to be very homely. The service was great, made us feel very comfortable- attentive and personal but not over- the- top and invasive. Food was absolutely delicious, we had the Buffalo and the smokey Butter chicken- both so deliciously tender, not too heavy and SIMPLE! We came away from here feeling very nourished and satisfied! Will go again and recommend to friends!
8/10. We dined here for the first time last night and it was charming! The atmosphere was vibrant with friendly and helpful staff. We shared the banquet for 2 and the flavours were fresh and tasty. A good one for the wish list.
Good and cosy. A nice cosy restaurant situated in Glenelg. Due to the size of our group, they gave us the private function room upstairs for the evening. Food wasn’t spicy but can be made spicy if requested. Staff were helpful. A few minor issues such as not having lemonade available, not enough rice or naan bread for the group. Despite these, we all enjoyed our meals and the evening. Would go back there again.
