Tonight, we were told by the venue manager we would not be seated as we had a toy poodle with us, not even outside tables. We NEVER HAD PROBLEMS BEFORE when we dined outside at your restaurant. I was told customers may have allergy. I even asked if we could wait for very end table and kept our little dog at the very end. The manager replied yes if we tied up our dog outside their area. I asked how about the light pole (it was not under the shelter in between the oyster bar and the next door restaurant). He said my dog needed to be tied up at the next restaurant. I do not know when its been changed dog not allowed. We felt discriminated and we left. Do not recommend any dog owners. We found the manager was disrespectful and tried to push us away.
Along the Glenelg pier lays a quaint and lively seafood experience, it is known as the oyster bar. Whether you come here when its brooding or a quiet Tuesday night one thing is for certain the seafood is delicious. Our favourite combination of the oysters and king prawns is the best we have ever had. To match its consistently high quality of food it boasts friendly service delivered by a bunch of really good staff. In addition to these, the price is very reasonable and additives such as the live music and happy hours makes it a place full of fun and energy. Could not recommend this place any more, the oyster bar is 10/10.
If you like oysters, the Oyster Bar in Glenelg is a must visit in Adelaide. With great surrounding restaurants and picturesque marina views, this place is ideal for a delicious oyster starter or even some tasty cocktails on an adventures night.I prefer flavoured cooked oysters and this place delivers to my liking with unique options. I personally love the chilly cheese and mornay toppings.I haven’t tried many cocktails here, but the ones I have were rather good. I recommend the Toblerone cocktail for those with a sweet tooth. The one downfall is the staff. I’ve had mixed experiences with customer service, but I’m sure I just came in on a bad day.I have only ate oysters at this bar and have not tried the other seafood options on the menu given that they don’t look as appealing as surrounding restaurant main meals. This is the kind of place I go for an oyster entre prior to a dinner sitting elsewhere.
Always Happy with the Food and the Atmosphere The entertainment is always great and we love catching up with friends and family there on Wednesday nights
Lovely spot, always a good meal.Oysters lovely and fresh. Never had an oyster as good as theirs.Wonderful ambience with friendly and respectful staff always try to make it in when I’m in Adelaide:) Thankyou
Ten years later and the oysters are still divine! Thanks for a great evening of oysters and wine. Your kilpatrick cannot be compared to anywhere on the east coast! Yum!
It is a decent food but far away compare to seafood in nsw restaurant. Fish and chips was a little bit portion compare to other restaurant, Chorizo plate as well. It’s just enough portion, not too big but the taste not bad.
