Holdfast Shores is like the Docklands of Melbourne. Looks great, beautiful location, but for some reason it doesn’t seem to pull in a tone of visitors. There are some gem restaurants however, and Oyster Bar is definitely one of them. The food was spectacular, priced on point, and the service friendly and helpful. Perfect for a sunny day of grazing on the kind of food you only get on special occasions, and a bottle of wine. If you love seafood you definitely won’t be disappointed!
It was a hot Tuesday night and the Oyster Bar was very busy.The good: well, nice oysters in variations. The not so good: as most bars you have to order at the counter. The oysters were good, however the prawn and avocado salad was very blend, no love. Would I go again? Yes, for a few oysters and a drink, but not for a dinner as such.
