I have a soft spot for trying establishment that have authentic Italian dishes on the menu and this place ticked those boxes for me. As soon as our group arrived we were made to feel extremely welcome the place is very spaces but more importantly the food. For cafe style menu this place definitely knows how to cook some seriously good pasta. The taste is truly Home style. And recommend to anyone yet to try
Friendly and efficient staff, beautiful coffee. Eggs Benedict was devine with eggs cooked perfectly. Will definitely be back, thank you for restoring our faith in Glenelg cafes!
Best pasta I’ve eaten in Aus, hands down. Absolutely delicious. Staff are lovely, atmosphere is nice, and, well, the pasta is seriously good. Give the duck ravioli a shot: you can thank me later.
The service here is great, the staff are friendly and very helpful. I’m so tempted to try the pizza but It’s either salt and pepper squid or squicken that gets me every time – the honey mustard dressing is amazing! It’s not a pasta place so if you’re wanting something authentic don’t order it just go for one of the other main dishes because that’s what they do best. (Squicken cough, Squid cough.)
Came here for farewell party with colleagues. I had stella mare. The portion just enough, well blend, i polished the plate. All my friend also enjoy their meals. Was fantastic, good service. Am definitely come back for another menu
The Strand is reliable for good food and atmosphere. Although the pizza has always been good, I went in for pizza Monday night after not being down there for a while expecting the reliable B+. I was pleasantly surprised. Whilst the topping was great, and as I expected, the dough was amazing. Next level in fact. It previously tended to be a bit hard and oddly sweet, this was perfectly balanced. Went from an B+ to an A+ Whatever you’ve done to get to where it is now, keep it up! Love your work
Reliable, tasty and hearty! We were in desperate need for some food after wining and dining our way through the barossa and this was a winner. We were starving and the place being packed, we thought we were pushing our luck. But they seated us quickly and sucked us in with $10 cocktails. The starters quickly filled that gap, saganaki, garlic bread and bruschetta. Great, but nothing to write home about. The mains were more impressive, I treated myself to a pizza (half chicken, half American) the rest ate a Parma (parmi for the Adelaidians), pasta and the biggest quinoa salad I’ve ever seen. Mains were nice and filling and pretty damn tasty. Considering this place was packed, they did a good job. Walked in gaunt, left 5kgs heavier.
