We love coming here! Great customer service with friendly staff, having a coffee with my friends and our kids after a play at a local playground is great as it’s so child friendly here! Great spot for a dinner date too! Food is delicious! Look forward to our next visit soon!
Gorgeous View & Food. I love coming here. Whether it is just for a morning coffee catch up with friends and our children or for dinner with the family, I always leave very satisfied. It offers a great setting and amazing food. The staff are very friendly & professional. One of my many favourite things to order here is their delicious Hot Chocolate & Brownie.
Crispy skin chicken – Special. Plank Kitchen & Bar – Marina Views
Hugely disappointing. The only good thing about the place is the view. $50 worth of breakfast for two? We should have stayed home & made toast! I felt bad for all the other patrons trapped there eating the terrible food.
Will The Plank ever get it right?. I have been going to The Plank 1-2 times per week for years. I like the view and it’s convenient to where I live. However, on far too many occasions what has been ordered is not what we are given. For example, yesterday my friend Janet was given fried eggs instead of scrambled eggs and my friend Sue given a large coffee instead of a small one. The waiter had specifically asked her what size. She always orders a small coffee because she likes strong coffee. She was extremely unhappy. There were other problems ie Janet’s meal was delivered quite some time after the other meals, and then she had to wait even longer for the fried eggs to be replaced by scrambled eggs, and I was overcharged by $3. This place has so much potential but I was sadly disappointed. We sat outside for lunch for a Birthday celebration & the outlook is superb. We sat for 20 minutes without being approached when we realised we needed to order & pay at the counter. It would have been helpful to have been told this on arrival. The lunch menu is extremely limited & reminded me of a pub menu. There were only 2 salad options available a Greek salad which for an extra $3 you can add grilled chicken or a roasted vegetable salad. I ordered the roasted veg & asked to add chicken to this to which I was told the chef said no!! What, if you can add chicken to a Greek salad, you can add it to the roasted veg. I ordered the club sandwich instead which was very nice. One of my friends ordered the roasted veg & it was a salad of mainly rocket with some veg & was a rather small serve for a main. With the outlook & view of the marina this place should be busy & vibrant but with a lacklustre menu & an inflexible chef/kitchen it is no wonder there were many empty tables. I won’t be returning in a hurry nor recommending this cafe!
Enjoyed the last warm night of winter outside overlooking the marina with a cold beer, lovely fresh barramundi and superb rib eye. Friendly staff. Chilled music. Gladly come back again!
