This little cafe would have to be one of the best in Adelaide. The service and quality coffee from owner Rob is impeccable and the food served up by chef Brad is top class. The prices are unbelievably low – great value for money. I can absolutely recommend the Eggs Florentine served with delicious Hollandaise sauce like nothing I have ever tasted. The guys are very obliging and make up what you want if it’s not exactly what’s on the menu. Once you have been to Alter Ego you will go back again and again – and get exactly the same great service and brilliant food. Summary: service exemplary and consistently outstanding; coffee great; food amazing and beautifully presented. location – easy to miss if you don’t know it’s there in Gilbert Street so look out for it just off Goodwood Road near the cinema.Summary: Service exemplary and consistently welcoming. The most lovely service I’ve had in a long time, with brilliant value for money and so many options it was almost overwhelming! Loved that you’re able to choose which 2 sides you’d like as well as the bacon and toast. Also, Nutella hot chocolate – why don’t more cafes do it?! It was absolutely delicious! A truly lovely morning with a great vibe in this cafe just tucked off of Goodwood Road – will most certainly be back 🙂
Awesome set out and anterior! Amazing menu!!! The great selection from the normal menu and then all the specials (that all sound delicious), really made it a hard choice! Quality of the food and coffee is perfect. Staff are lovely 🙂 can’t wait to go back!
