Sorry CT bakery, but you’ve just been rolled. This place has taken over as my favourite banh mi joint. These guys nail it, perfect balance of good quality meat and flavoursome vegetables and condiments. And service is bang on too! Win-win all round.
The best Vietnamese rolls in Adelaide! Nowhere else in comparison! One lemongrass chicken roll and two spring rolls completes an amazing but filling lunch under $10. You can’t go wrong to order their tofu roll if you are vegetarian, fired tofu surprisingly goes really well with the roll as I thought the tofu roll would taste super dry in the mouth and ruins the whole flavour, but not at all! Highly recommended!
Great local Banh Mi spot if you don’t want to drive out to Hanson Road. I don’t eat pork but the chicken is well flavoured and generously applied to the roll. Fresh veggies too. Don’t be put off by the overpowering fish sauce aroma when you enter the small shopfront!
These guys are always pumping out the Bahn Mi, with lines out along Goodwood Road most days of the week. Hint hint, get in there before 12pm if you don’t want to wait!I liked what I had, the roast pork was tender albeit a bit fatty (but when you’re having pork belly it’s a bit of a given). Generous amounts of meat, carrot, daikon and coriander but would have enjoyed a little more chilli. The sauces they put on had a nice flavour but made the rolls soggy within 10 minutes of getting them from the shop to home so note for next time: Eat them ASAP.I guess because they’re kind of just smashing them out it makes it a little difficult to regulate but overall a well-priced, tasty lunch option.
Small shop with limited seating. Small line up as it was lunch time but line moved fast. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable about dietary requirements and ingredients. Unfortunately they had run out of vegetarian cold rolls and the Banh Mi rolls contained egg.
Fantastic Vietnamese rolls, and probably the best in Adelaide. . The service is quick and the bread rolls are fresh. The roast pork is the pick of the bunch. I highly recommend it.
Ticks the box but…. A decent roll but far from the best. I went in at 1pm and there was no roast pork left. Wow – fist time that has ever happened to me at a Vietnamese roll place. Either poor planning by the staff or there was a huge unexpected rush on roast pork rolls that day. I was offered the chicken roll as an alternative and took them up on the offer. The bread roll wasn’t crunchy on the outside like some of Adelaides best rolls. Instead it was just a very soft bread roll. Maybe that’s their thing and it seems to work for them based in the positive reviews. Very different to the Hanson road style bread roll though which I prefer. The chicken was ok but lacked any kick of flavour. The salad was all very fresh. For a quick roll it will certainly tick the box but…
