I’ve been wanting to try Hermanos Cubanos for some time now and the ANZAC day holiday presented an opportunity. We ordered the Hermano and the Cubano sandwich plus two jalapeno poppers. The poppers were $3.50 each but they were large and they were delicious. Both sandwiches were a good size with good bread and lots of fillingsbut the Cubano sandwich was definitely the pick of the two – pork, ham, pickles, cheese, mustard – delicious and great texture. The Hermano was disappointing – I couldn’t taste the jerk spicing on the chicken and between the soft bread, chicken and avocado there wasn’t a lot of texture in the sandwich. Interesting that Hermanos Cubanos was one of the few places at Henley Square charging a public holiday surcharge.

We wanted to have a picnic at the beach and decided to come check this place out if it could be our possible new Mexican fave here in Adelaide. Such a small place with a few tables that can only accommodate a few people. It is definitely not for a large gathering. We ordered jalapeos poppers, hermano and Mexican cola. I was excited to try the Jalapeos poppers, my last memory of it was in Melbourne and that was delicious. Their jalapeos poppers were massive, the first bite was disappointing. It was oily and slightly oozing with water. I am not sure if it was not drained properly before cooking. The spicy kick was also missing. On to Hermano, first thought, it is going to be really oily but I sure hope the meat will be tasty. First bite, It was a fail for me. It was lacking in flavour meaning spice in the meat that I am used to, it was salty enough already. They do have friendly staff. Maybe in the future we might come back and try something else in their menu.

Nice little sandwich shop at Henley square. Had the Cubano toasted sandwich. Man it was delicious. Porky, mustardy, cheesy and pickley. My mouth is watering while thinking about it. I need to get back there to sample more of their menu. Pricing is a little high for serving size maybe.

When you watch the movie Chef http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2883512/ and realise that you just have to try one of the cubanos sandwiches that they make on the movie but you can’t get to the States or Cuba, you can head down to Hermanos Cubanos (or Malobo) at Henley and get to try one of the tastiest toasted sandwiches going around. What a great taste and flavour combo, simple, but works so well together. Also tried the pulled pork burger, so good also. And when we were done had to get a second cubano! Great location, great tasty food, definitely heading back to give the rest of the menu a go.

Tasty treats on offer at this cute little spot on Henley square. We had the buttermilk chicken sandwich which was super tasty and delicious, filled with lots of chicken and it satisfied my hunger. The pork taco special was also a hit. A side of fries seasoned with salt and lime were crunchy and moorish. Would go back for sure.

Great little lunch spot at Henley Beach. Love the variety of food. Mainly takeaways but they do have small tables outside and a few seats inside. Had the hermano which was delicious with jerk chicken, cheese and chipotle aioli but a tad too oily. The fried chicken was excellent though. The bread was delicious and could not fault the sweet potato fries with homemade sauce. Crsipy and seasoning was delicious.

Wife and I had lunch at Hermanos in Henley Beach Yesterday. We have spent much time in Mexico and have close friends from Havana Cuba and are familiar with Cuban sandwiches. This is step towards the real thing and absolutely delicious. I had the Cuban and my wife the Butterfish, both made the right way with real Manchego cheese which makes the sandwiches. Only 2 tables but you can go next door to Molobo to get your beverage and table. Nice operation, friendly people and good food, Sandwiches were $14 each.
