One of the best spud shop in town. I haven’t seen much spud shops around but out of all I tasted, this particular shop serve the best spuds!!! They open till 9pm but be there earlier to avoid disappointment, sometimes at night they do sell out of spuds, only nachos left. Services – massive tick. Staffs are always friendly. You can randomly hold up a chat there even if you don’t know them. Food serving is fast. You can see them doing everything basically. One of the lady was so good, I brought my friend there and she had never had spud before. They let her try couple of the toppings before she decide. The tasting was generous. Food – spuds were fantastic. Wide range of topping to choose from either cold topping or hot topping. Potato itself is very soft and it’s hot when serve. I have been to another spud shop where the potato is served semi cold and it is not pleasant at all to eat. Couple of my favourites must try – pulled pork, bacon deluxe, yiros and one of the most famous spud mentioned by the locals is chilli con carne. Make sure you have butter, cheese and sour cream added for the full burst of flavours. You can choose your own salads, the only comment I might make is sometimes they ran out of lettuce and tomato which is my favourite to go on spuds but with the taste, no big deal for me. Serving here is big – plenty of topping added. For the value you are paying, it’s definitely worth it!!! There’s a fridge full of soft drinks, juice or water. Some desserts like jelly, chocolate mousse and etc also available. I have always love this local gem shop. It is a total hidden gem. If you around the area, must pay a visit. Love spud, see them!!!
