We were greeted with friendliness from multiple staff members and chose to sit outside as the weather was lovely. While the menu is small it was still hard to choose because everything sounds so good. We ordered the salmon and the steak and then headed inside to sample some wine to enjoy with our lunch. All the wine we tried was excellent but we settled for the Sangiovese (which we later bought a box of). Our food came out and was presented extremely well and tasted delicious. We are visiting the region with a large group and have recommended it to everyone for lunch as it is likely to be the best meal of our trip. Thanks again!
Upon entering we were greeted by a lady you could be forgiven for confusing with the head nun at a catholic school. I felt like I had been sent to the principal’s office rather than greeted for lunch. Once seated the food was exceptional- I recommend the porterhouse- wine was perfect and server was helpful and friendly. Great atmosphere by the wood fire. To pay, we needed to face the dragon lady once again. The eftpos machine was running with a delay, no doubt this was not helped by Headmistress Trunchbal tapping the loading screen every few seconds. Trying to lighten the atmosphere, I commented on how adorable the puppies in the ‘Winery Dogs’ book, displayed in the front cabinet, were. To which she replied, ‘If you like dogs.’ 10/10 would recommend, just take your stakes, silver bullets and garlic with you.
Excellent – Ordered the platter for two and with my wife ate the lot – the platter ingredients were superb including the kangaroo salami and the pork belly pieces along with fetta, olives, pickled vegetables and chutneys served with a variety of breads washed down with some great Pikes sparkling aleOur waitress provided excellent service alerting us to the specials and what was unable to be providedThe way it should be done – highly recommended
Excellent Meal, Excellent Service. We enjoyed a late lunch at Reilly’s with friends from Adelaide on Sunday 28th December. The menu was excellent and thus the choice was difficult. I had the pasta which was delicious and my husband had the curry which again was an amazing meal. The service was excellent and we really enjoyed the ambiance and the food and were not able to resist the dessert menu. We own accommodation in Clare and regularly send our guests to Reilly’s for lunch. Never are they disappointed and following our recent visit we have reminded ourselves to take time out in our busy schedules to enjoy a meal at Reilly’s Cellar Door and Restaurant. Thank you for providing such excellent service , amazing venue and beautiful food providing visitors to the region (and locals) a memorable experience. Yvonne
