I have been coming here since I was little. I love the food! Now I live close by I love to order my food before leaving work and pick it up on the way home. Beef Schnitzels are very nice and the vegetable bar and salad bar are always well stocked. Well priced meals.
Wouldn’t normally write a review but feel this pub in the western suburbs need recognition. Very impressed with the large spaces. Sports bar, restaurant and pokies all recently renovated. We decided to eat in the main dining room. Greeted with a friendly smile, our waitress Sarah showed us to our table and explained that we are to order at the counter and drinks from the bar. Our meals were served promptly. Very generous serves for the price. I had the special Friday Steak. $12.50 Porterhouse with mushroom sauce and chips. the entire menu look impressive with $12.50 daily special every day of the week. My partner had a chicken parmi., one of the best she said she has eaten. The Salad and Veg bar was fresh and tasty. We make complimented our waitress on the quality meals and she advised us that there was a recent change of Head Chefs. Its worth the drive were ever you live in Adelaide.
I was surprised by the quality of the food, everything was well cooked and tasty. Service was about the standard I’d expect in this area but all in all a pleasant experience
Wow. Where do I start?Went to the Mansfield Park Hotel last weekend to have a meal before a movie. Sat down at our table and it was sticky from spilled drink. My girlfriend advised the staff there and was given a wet chuck cloth so she could wipe it down herself, which she did. The table was sticky afterward because of the lack of spray and wipe to remove what I assume to be spilled coke from the night (or two weeks) before. Anyway she ordered a chicken schnitzel with Dianne sauce and I ordered the Veal schnitzel with Kilpatrick sauce. The description on the menu read Kilpatrick: Bacon, Kilpatrick Sauce and Cheese. The meals came out relatively quick, my girlfriends chicken was some kind of chicken thigh mixed with breast thing, she had to cut around all the strange bits. Mine was a tough ham and mountain o cheese thing. I pointed out to the waitress that it doesnt have any Kilpatrick sauce on it. She took it away and said that theyll cook up a fresh one for me. Came back about 5 minutes later with the same schitty and advised that they added barbeque sauce. They folded over the cheese and added barbeque sauce, then stuck it back in the oven which managed to burn the edges. I learned that day that Kilpatrick sauce is actually barbeque sauce.. according to the Mansfield Hotel. Then theres the patronage, Holden shirt wearing bogans one end and rat tailed pimp gangster wannabes the other. Theyve done the place up to make it look nice but seriously what a hole. Will never go back there again.
If anyone had told me I would my motherinlaw here I would have LOL’d. Now the hookers have been cleared out and the food is great. I had the prawn straws and guiness pie. MIL told the about here gluten problems.
Highly reccomended for a pub meal!. This pub was my local for around 20 years, and it was a bit of a dive (back then!)… I wouldn’t have ever recommended anybody to eat there. In the last few years though, I had moved away and the hotel had a massive renovation/remodel.Walking in with my parents, we were all of the same opinion – it looked stunning on the inside, and nothing at all like it used to.When ordering lunch, I decided to go with old faithful and have Salt & Pepper calamari. Parents ordered Chicken Hawaiian and T-Bone steak (medium rare). My meal was $16 – and came out with a huge amount of calamari, chips and aioli sauce. It was extremely tender with the perfect amount of flavorings. Because it came out with so much calamari, it took me a while to get through (great value there!) so I gave some to my parents & they made a point of telling me that by that time it had gone cold and was still very tender. My dad ordered his steak as medium rare, it came out well-done. It was not tough and had still had a very nice taste to it. My mum was pleased with her chicken Hawaiian, the schnitzel was not too thick/thin just the right size to get an even taste of food. Also:- Staff were very friendly- Brought out 1x warm turkish bread roll each- Did not need to go to the front bar to get drinks as there is a small bar set up near where you order food- Salad bar does not have a huge selection, but enough warm/cold and all very tasty.- Large amount of pokies (if that’s your thing)We were very happy with it here, it was a lot more than we were expecting and already planning to go back next week.
CAN’T GO WRONG. You cant go wrong at the Mansfield hotel, being close to work Ive eaten here a number of times and always enjoy the food. The portions are large, the salad bar is extensive and its dirt cheap. It may be in the rougher part of town but since the extensive renovation its a terrific place to eat out.
