Nice location and friendly staff! Always greet us with smiles on their faces. However, food is quite okay, nothing too extraordinary. I personally find the food a bit overpriced too.

Food – Great, Location – Great, Staff – wow! I had a young boy remove my sons plate when he was still eating. I said ‘ummmmm ….. my son is still eating that’. His response …. awkward laugh (and continued to remove the plate). ‘You know that is quite rude’. His response …. awkward laugh. Note to management: start employing staff that know what they are doing. Yes, you may have to pay more than money minimum junior wages. Such a shame considering your food is good.

Last resort for coffee and food. Nothing special for the price. Food standard comparable to any other cafe however prices much more expensive. The view is pleasant but it’s free.

Lovely place to sit and enjoy a meal or a coffee by the lake. Appears to be the same owners as Cafe Verde at Fairview Park as they both offer identical menus, which is also another great cafe to visit.

Wow, I lived in Mawson lakes for 15 years the boatdeck has never, ever ,ever changed their menu despite being supported purely by local folk.Food was always passable at best average. If you happen to visit Mawson lakes you will enjoy the lakeside view and ambience and it will probably serve your needs, however on return you may take a closer inspection and return only if north of city with no other alternatives, plenty of competition for this venue in local suburb, hope they lift.Review pre May2016

Average! This is walking distance for me and GF and we only go for coffees theses days. We tried breakfast a few times and found it to be very average, as in, cold poorly cooked bacon, unbuttered cold toast and fairly slow service. On this occasion we stopped for a Saturday morning coffee as the coffee is very good usually. This day there was an issue with the front of house fridge and had leaked through the front dining area so it had a pungent smell of rotting vomit through the front of house. It was about 10.30am Saturday morning so there were a few punters in for breaky. I ordered the coffees expecting the normal 5 min wait time, clearly the issue with the fridge was upsetting the efficiency of the barista and I couldn’t help but think that the contractor could have been in a little earlier or later to avoid the morning traffic. 30 min later we given the wrong coffee’s and we left. Equipment fails, that will happen, at the least when the order is placed let people know that there is a wait so they can choose to stay or go. Check out my instagram @smithbeardco

Tried this place for brekky this morning and it’s not bad, but definitely not the best brekky around- that’s just my opinion because I was disappointed in the poached eggs not being runny and pancakes not fluffy enough. It’s fast paced and very busy with pretty friendly service. The brekky is fairly basic options at a slightly higher price than I think is necessary, but hit the spot all the same. I liked the housemade beans and the iced coffee was deelish
