What a wonderful way to spend a warm summer afternoon, sitting on the deck with good friends, a sensational wine and great wood fired pizzas and antipasto washed down by an affogato! Perfect! With careful attention to the small things, Briony and her team have done a great job of making Beach Rd one of the most down to earth relaxed environments in McLaren Vale! A regular for so many now, my only advice is to book!

We came to McLaren Vale to do some tastings and stopped here for a bite to eat. I ordered the mushroom wood oven pizza. And it was worth the wait!!! Best pizza i have had by far!!!! Will be back for sure even if its just for this pizza!!!

We popped in here, not for the wine, but for a quick feed on the way back to Adelaide. Despite having a large group booking and being under a bit of pressure, they gave us a table with prime views. We did see people coming in after us getting turned away, but that can happen at any location. Better to be turned away, to find somewhere else with in 5 minutes driving (as had actually happened to us), then to sit and wait for an hour. We were quickly able to find something on the menu that, ultimately, was very good. We ordered a couple of pizza and we were very happy with them. Good service, good views, good food.

Absolutely perfect! The service was excellent and the food just beautiful. We had pizza and I shared the potato one and the mushroom one. Both were full of flavour and the bases bubbly and crisp. Coffee was great, too.

Fantastic food and host. Lovely vineyard for woodfired pizzas. Very friendly host and family friendly Venue. Highly recommended.

Food was nice but not amazing – thin crust pizza and salad. Service was average – several items the waitress said she would bring to our table – menu, salad servers and wine list all of which never made it. Lovely view down the valley to McLaren Vale. I probably wouldn’t come here again though.

This has got to be one of my favourite winery! I have been here on several occasion and the standards have always been up there. On a weekend, when you just want to relax, this is a place to be. The owner of this winery is always here, very friendly and you can chat with him anytime.Their wines were all reasonably priced. Famous for their wood oven pizzas. We had a bottle of Pinot Gris, worked extremely well with the ports bello mushroom and roasted eggplant pizzas. The crusts were so crunchy, tasty and delicious! The more simple the best they taste! Their homemade cannoli was an excellent way to finish off a meal, just like in Italy. Highly recommend!!! daisyum.com
