Food and service was amazing! The environment was perfect. We didnt make a booking but lucky enough to get a seat. All thanks to extremely helpful staff to make our day extra special not to mention their food was amazing!!! The bisque and souffl was to die for. Their staff recommended us the food and we were very happy. Its a perfect ending for our small trip down south before going back home to Brisbane. Definitely will be back again.

I heard good things about D’arrys so was excited to dine here for the first time. On entry I was disappointed, I was expecting the restaurant to be like Hardys verandah with an amazing view, and minimal tables with plenty of space, with a romantic, fine dining vibe. This was the complete opposite. The chairs looked like cheap vinyl cafeteria style, with the tables so jammed packed that you could not push your chair back without hitting the person sitting behind you. One waitress even asked a customer to push her chair in so the waitress could squeeze behind her and serve other customers. This is disgraceful. One table or more needs to be take out, so the customers and staff do not feel like sardines. It was so uncomfortable, that we left as soon as we were finished eating, which was lucky, because as soon as we sat down we were told our table was only from 12-2. It felt like the timer was ticking. The food came out fast, too fast, like they really did want us out of the restaurant. We had hardly finished the entree before the mains were placed in front of us. It just felt like a money making experience, get as many people in, in the shortest amount of time possible. The signature lobster dish was amazing. The tommy ruff dry, the duck breast good, but accompanying duck leg dry, steak perfectly cooked. Espresso martini panacotta was lovely. Service was good, but if you want to come for a nice relaxing, long, lazy lunch, do not come here. 3.5/5
