Probably the worst lunch we’ve had in years. Food was incredibly average, took a very long time….especially considering we were the only table there. Very odd considering it was a long weekend….no other guests and absolutely no atmosphere. The steak was ok, gnocchi was lovely but everything ie pork assiette which was introduced on arrival as ‘the pig’ was almost inedible. Monk fish was very bland. We initially did the wine tasting where the lady had no idea and told us she ‘didn’t really drink wine’ and upon being asked if it was busy this afternoon the response was ‘no, just going to catch up on the cleaning’. This was a birthday lunch as was told when the reservation was made but nothing extra was done. Overall, the staff lovely but everything else was incredibly poor.
Awesome!. Customer service was great and food was perfect, beef Wellington cooked to perfection and so tender, deserts were incredible highly recommend.
Very enjoyable lunch. Friendly, efficient service. Helpful waiting staff. Food was excellent – particularly the duck rillette and beef rib eye. Bread was disappointing – appeared to be stale.
Sea and Vines Visit. I attended for Sea and Vines. The setting was very nice and the band was excellent. I enjoyed my day and the nice wine that was offered for sale, but I was left incredibly disapointed by having to wait 45mins to purchase a bottle of wine…yep…you heard it, 45 mins at the bar line just to buy a bottle of wine. The bar was swamped with people, chaos and no order. I could not believe there was only 3 staff working. I felt sorry for the nice staff that had been put in that position. I also was unable to sit down anywhere and enjoy the wine I had purchased. Next year I will avoid Middlebrook Estate because I don’t intend on spending half of my time there standing in a hotbox line trying to get a bottle.
Best antipasto in Adelaide. The staff warned us that the antipasto was generous but we didn’t believe them. Three generous plates came out loaded with quality seafood, meats and vegetables. The mains were good as well – the duck and lamb were tender, juicy and tasty. The service was friendly and there are a good selection of wines. The restaurant was pleasant with views out to a nice garden.
Sunday Lunch. Highly recommend this restaurant, food was fabulous, complimented by a great selection of wines. Staff were great. Great place to spend a Sunday afternnon. We will be back.
