This was an amazing 4-course wagyu menu. Every dish, including the dessert were absolutely delicious. Not only was the meat of a good cut but they were all cooked to perfection – just melts in your mouth. They are located in a rather secluded location, but it was well worth the 50km drive in darkness from Mount Gambier. A must visit when around the area!
Wow! What an amazing dining experience. Not sure what planet the previous reviewer lives on as I found the first 2 courses of ‘secondary’ cuts sublime. 9+ marble score Flat Iron Steak and Zabuton, both highly sought after cuts in Japan. Both were rich, juicy and delicious – exactly what you would expect from top grade Wagyu. I asked the Chef what the portion sizes were, he said both pieces were 80 grams, so 160 grams of Wagyu for ‘entree’.We then had the main (200g), a 9 marble score Sirloin, which was perfectly cooked and presented. Our whole evening was amazing, talking to the chef about different cooking techniques, the quality of dish presentation, the beautiful crockery, the professional and friendly waitstaff, it was all simply brilliant. Highly recommended and an absolute must-do when travelling through the region
